Tents for Hire

Tent Pricing Example:

There are 20 people in your group

6 people are sharing a Bell Tent

2 people are sharing a Khyam Tent

The remaining 12 people are bringing their own tents

12 people will pay the standard Cost Per Person as indicated in the Planning Guide - eg £22.14
(which will cover their share of all the “group” equipment)

6 people will pay this “group” amount plus a share of the Bell Tent cost - eg £33.81

2 people will pay this “group” amount plus a share of the Khyam Tent cost - eg £34.64

12 people are paying £22.14 = £265.68
6 people are paying £33.81 = £202.86
2 people are paying £34.64 = £69.28

Total price is: 265.68 + 202.86 + 69.28 = £537.82

Alternatively - if you just need to know the total overall cost:
A Bell Tent hire price is: £60
A Khyam hire price is: £25
In this example - the Total "group" equipment price is: 20 x £22.14 = £442.80

Total Price is: £442.80 + £60 + £25 =  £537.80

This has caused confusion in the past - so here is a brief explaination:

Your group may have some people that are bringing their own tents and some people that are willing to pay a bit extra to hire a tent and have it set up ready for them
.

Obviously - people that are bringing their own tents won't want to contribute to the extra cost of hiring tents for other people. So  the Planning Guide will work out x3 different per head prices for you.

1. A price for people that are bringing their own tent
2. A price for people that are hiring a Bell Tent
3. A price for people that are hiring a Khyam Tent

The idea of the Planning Guide is that it will do all the calculations so you can ask for exactly the right money from each person in the group depending on whether they are bringing their own tent, sharing a Bell Tent, or sharing a Khyam Tent - and hopefully make things a little easier for the organiser.
